With activity level in Stafford high but maintaining Missouri City Fire & Rescue asked for assistance with water rescues in the Sienna Plantation area of their city. Sitting just north of the Brazos River the rear of this massive development was inundated with flood waters. Coupling the need for rescues with the possibility of levee breaches from the rising river and the need to evacuate and rescue thousands of people became evident. Sending High Water 21 the crews assisted moving countless people to higher ground finally returning after 7-hours of operation. After an evaluation and swapping of crews High Water 22 was then sent again to assist in moving countless people returning at approximately 02:30hrs. The next morning with water still rising both Highwater 21 and High Water 22 along with a rescue boat were packaged and sent to assist in the Sienna Ranch area of Missouri City. With ample boat resources on site, and high water vehicles no longer viable because of depth, personnel assisted until released returning to the city in the early afternoon.
