Immediately after dispatching Stafford companies the assignment was upgraded to a full box due to multiple calls reporting fire thru the roof. Upon arrival of #2101 fire was evident from the rear of a 1-story office & club house building of the apartment complex with the high winds creating a significant ember problem downwind. 1st arriving Truck 21 (Slay) set-up on Side A and stretched a 200′ through the front doors to the rear while Engine 22 (Scoggins) established a water supply and Engine 23 (DeLaGarza) reported inside to open up. With fire found in the frame work around a chimney and extending to the attic Ladder 31 (Payne) stretched a 2nd line while Engine 2 (Holiday) established the RIT on Side A and Battalion 31 (Sabrsula) was assigned as the Incident Safety Officer. Due to the winds and embers 2-extra companies were requested bringing Engine 3 and Tower 22 to the scene while crews worked to access the fire.
