Just moment before noon on this date Engine 22 was dispatched to the report of smoke in the area of Red Fish Ln and Cash Rd. With a column visible from the station Tower 22 added themselves to the record and requested the change to a working fire. With different locations being given by callers the location was finally found to be a machine shop in a warehouse area in the 10400 block of Cash Rd. and approximately 600′ off the roadway. With Engine 22 (C. Lawson) initiating fire attack on an elevated, and connected, filtration system Truck 21 (Gutierrez) laid the 5″ supply line while Tower 22 (Parker) negotiated the apparatus into the alley for roof access. With a room in the connected building filled with smoke Engine 23 (DeLaGarza) stretched a precautionary hand line inside as Truck 21 checked the roof. With the fire knocked down in the filtration system, no extension found on the interior of the building or the roof, the incident was placed under control. Following overhaul and assisting the Stafford Fire Marshal’s Investigator all units returned to service.
