The final details on the new apparatus for Engine 22 and Truck 21 are being completed and both are soon to be released for production. Each will be on 2019 Pierce Enforcer chassis with Cummins ISL9 450hp engines, Allison 5-speed automatic transmissions, 2000GPM Hale single-stage pumps, Husky 12 Class A foam systems with 20-gallon foam cells, Whelen 12V floodlighting and emergency lighting and David Clark intercom systems among other features. The pumper body is a rescue body design intended to allow for maximum compartment space, a lower hose bed and ease of access to ground ladders without need for a ladder rack. The truck will feature a 107′ steel aerial identical to the current Truck 21 and feature an over-sized officer side compartment for maximum storage. The scheduled completion time frame is mid-September for the pumper and the beginning of October for the truck.
