1-Story Wood Frame

 January 15, 2020

At 20:14hrs the light structure assignment was dispatched in the 2700 block of Picket Ln. While enroute the incident was upgraded to a box due to multiple calls being received by Comm Center adding the auto-aid companies. Upon arrival on Picket Ln. smoke was reported showing from the eaves and roof line of a 1-story irregularly shaped SFD with an injured civilian in the yard. Initiating fire attack thru the B side door Truck 21 found zero visibility inside and began searching for the seat of the fire using TIC’s. Upon arrival of Engine 22 a 5″ supply line was laid with Engine 33 pumping the hydrant located approximately 800′ away. With water on the fire Engine 23 completed searches while Engine 33 established the formal RIT, Battalion 31 was assigned as the Incident Safety Officer and Battalion 21 assigned as the Operations Section. With the fire involving the den area and a bedroom knocked crews checked for extension to the attic spaces while completing ventilation. Upon completion of assignments and assisting the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal Investigator all units returned to service.
