At 22:59hrs the light structure was dispatched to Aramark Uniforms at 10110 Cash Rd. for a possible building fire. With companies responding Truck 21 called a column getting the full box and arrived moments later with a large exterior fire against a 400′ X 100′ commercial structure. As Truck 21 was initiating fire attack and forcing entry into the building, Engine 22 established a water supply, Engine 24 stretched a 2nd handline and Tower 31 assigned to assist in opening up. Due to the extreme tight nature of the bailed uniforms, towels, floor mats and shop rags Truck 21’s ladder pipe was placed into service to achieve a knock down on the deep seated fire. Following extensive overhaul and assisting SFMO personnel all units returned to service. Many thanks to the Missouri City and Sugar Land Fire Departments for not only assisting on this incident but also another apartment fire box which was dispatched during this fire as well as the Richmond Fire Department for the back-in.
