Shortly before 02:36hrs this morning FBCEMS Medic 610 was sitting at the light at FM1092 and Mula Rd. enroute back to quarters at FS #2. As they awaited the light to turn the crew noticed headlights in the distance coming towards them. As the weaving headlights got closer the crew realized something wasn’t right and attempted to get out of the intersection only to be struck by the weaving vehicle. Following the impact to the right front area of the transport module Medic 610 rolled over onto its driver side. Quickly cutting their seatbelts and exiting the cab, Medic 610’s crew immediately called in the accident and turned their attention to the occupants of the striking vehicle. Upon arrival of Truck 22 and Battalion 21 the striking SUV was found to be occupied by 3-patients suffering various trauma injuries. Placing the Holmatro tool in service the crew of Truck 22 extricated the driver and assisted Truck 21 and EMS with patient care. Upon arrival of additional EMS resources all occupants were packaged and transported to local hospitals. Fortunately the crew of Medic 610 escaped without injuries and despite being rattled, immediately began providing care to others.
