At 08:12hs Battalion 21 and engine 24 were dispatched to a mutual aid call for Rosenberg FD for a commercial fire. After dispatch 2104 added himself to the run and responded as well. 2104 and battalion 21 arrived on scene to find heavy fire through the roof of a 2-story commercial strip building with defensive fire operations in progress. Battalion 21 and 2104 reported to the command post ready to work in full gear with tools in hand. Engine 24 arrived on scene and was advised to bring personnel forward with hooks. After a short conversation at the command post and offensive fire operations going back in place, battalion 21, 2104, and Richmond battalion 41 grouped together to make a push through the Alpha side to division 2. Engine 24 was assigned to fire attack and brought a handline to division 2 for suppression efforts. Due to the construction of the structure crews had to work extensively to check hidden void spaces for any extension of fire. The fire was eventually placed under control and all Stafford units returned to service at 12:45hrs
