The department has placed the new Booster 21 into service as of today. Built on a Ford F550 4-door diesel chassis with body by Skeeter the unit features a 300GPM pump, 400 gallon poly tank, 10-gallon foam cell and 10,000lb winch. Additional features including super-single tires, a 6″ lift and additional compartmentation as well as front bumper sweep nozzles and LED lighting make this new unit very capable for off-road grass and brush fires both here at home and across the state. Thank you to the Apparatus Committee members who took the time to design a very well thought out and capable apparatus to serve our community.
