Amidst the new challenges facing everyone, the City of Stafford began the FTO program for its 5-newest full-time personnel. Over the course of 4-non-stop weeks the new personnel completed everything from ground ladders, ventilation, search and EMS training to hose line operations, off-road vehicle familiarization, live fire and forcible entry evolution’s to acclimate the new personnel to how our department operates to serve our community. Over the fast paced 4-weeks BC Magana and Lieutenants Ricks, Gutierrez and Van Berschot ensured that the way the material and topic was presented was completely representative of how the shifts operate and made clear what is expected.
The newest full-time personnel of the department are Fire Fighter/Paramedic James Aston (A-Shift), Fire Fighter/EMT Shunn Blanks (B-Shift) Fire Fighter/EMT Ryan Berg (B-Shift), Fire Fighter/EMT Brad Wolf (C-Shift) and Fire Fighter/Paramedic Melvin Evinicky (C-Shift).
