Roll-Over Accident

 October 24, 2022

At 13:49hrs Truck 21 was sent on the reported MVA in the area of 5th Street and Clay St. While enroute reports of a subject trapped underneath the vehicle were relayed and the response upgraded to a rescue box bringing Truck 22, Rescue 22 and Battalion 21. Upon arrival of Truck 21 a single vehicle was reported as rolled-over after having struck a large concrete structure later identified as a mailbox but with with no entrapment. Following patient evaluation and care being transferred to FBCEMS attention was changed to removing the approximately 3000lb mailbox from the roadway. With no wrecker on scene capable of moving it giving its dimensions, personnel utilized the crane of Rescue 22 to make quick work of lifting and moving the object off the roadway. While no physical rescue was needed this time, this incident marked the 8th time the crane has been used.
